Roland Ferwerda | Managing Director, co-founder
Roland Ferwerda is director of the independent Dutch National Knowledge Platform for Charging Infrastructure (NKL) and steering committee member of the “National Charging Agenda”, organizing the rollout of charging infrastructure in the Netherlands. Roland is also founder and board member of the EVRoaming Foundation, promoting an open and interoperable charging infrastructure and managing the worldwide roaming protocol OCPI. He is an authority in the Netherlands and internationally in the EV charging domain and as a frequent speaker on eMobility events. As an entrepreneur and managing director at NTCS GreenBee, Roland is working on charging infrastructure development in the Middle East, Latin-America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Roland has an extensive background in the energy sector and has a masters in theoretical physics.
Bas Hoefman | Director Sales & Business Development, co-founder
Bas has over 15 years of diverse international experience, ranging from mobile technology to financial services, with emphasis on emerging markets. Bas has worked and lived in East Africa for six years where he was heading TCC Mobile, a consumer engagement and market research company using interactive mobile solutions. As Director Sales and Business Development at NTCS GreenBee, Bas is passionate about combining creativity and business sense to create value for clients and partners in new markets. His extensive experience and network in Africa resulted in the feasibility study project for setting up a viable EV charing ecosystem in Uganda. The knowledge gained during the process is also applied in other East-AFrican countries, such as Kenya and Zambia. For NTCS greenbee Bas builds and manages relationships with governments and key C-level decision-makers.
Marcel van Dam | Advisor
Marcel co-founded NTCS in 2001, and ever since he has helped NTCS expand. He has managed hundreds of consulting projects around the world mainly in the Americas, the Caribbean and Africa. Together with Roland Ferwerda and Bas Hoefman he initiated NTCS Greenbee. Marcel assisted in mobilising all key stakeholders for the development of an eMobility ecosystem in Uganda and obtaining a subsidy for this project from the Dutch Enterprise Agency. The knowledge gained in this process on feasibility studies and roadmap development is also applied in other East-African countries and the Caribbean.
Jelmer Gulmans | Principal Consultant
Jelmer has an extensive track record in developing strategies and roadmaps for telecom and energy companies. Together with leadership teams of these organisations, he has developed strategies for the development of, amongst others, broadband networks, mobile networks, advanced metering infrastructure, smart grids, and eMobility ecosystems. His technical expertise and consultancy skills have helped many companies to set direction and start the deployment of new technologies and services. He is currently involved in strategical projects for, amongst others, Belize Electricity Limited and Energie Bedrijf Suriname.
Jan van Dinther | Senior Consultant
As Energy Consultant at NTCS GreenBee, Jan develops next-generation energy systems by supporting governments, utilities, and energy companies in integrating renewables, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and upcoming digital technologies in their energy systems and operations. In Belize he supported the Distribution Grid Planning team of Belize Electricity Limited in integrating the growth of electric vehicle charging developments in their investment planning. By using advanced simulation and data analytic tools, required grid investments for up to 10 years were identified and included in investment strategies.
Anne-Louise Schouten | Operations Manager
Anne-Louise is responsible for office and operations management and is point of contact for consultants, clients and suppliers.
Ruben van der Horst | Consultant
While persuing a MSc degree in Systems and Control at the Delft University of Technology and after finishing his BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ruben is doing an internship for six months at NTCS GreenBee. In his technical support role, Ruben has created tools for ongoing projects at NTCS Greenbee. He contributed to the development of GreenBee's eMobility ecosystem maturity scan and he supports in projects in a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from policy development to the technical specification of EV charging systems. Before he started, he gained experience at a startup in medical automation.
